Hyperborea in the sources

Where was Hyperborea, and who lived there?

The name is Greek. Hyperborea means the land beyond Boreas, the north wind. Herodotus wrote about the Hyperboreans in the fifth century BC, and later Greek writers said the god Apollo spent his winters among them, in a land of long sunlight far to the north.

Blavatsky made the Hyperboreans the second root race. In her account they lived on a continent that surrounded the North Pole and reached south into northern Asia, and their bodies were only partly physical, a stage between the ethereal first race and the Lemurians, the first fully physical race.

In 1903 the Indian scholar Bal Gangadhar Tilak published The Arctic Home in the Vedas. He read the oldest hymns of India, which describe a day and a night each lasting months and dawns lasting many days, and concluded that the ancestors of the Vedic Aryans once lived near the North Pole. So the Aryans of the steppe item, and the Hyperborea of the esoteric sources, meet in the Vedas themselves.

Russian researchers went looking for it on the ground. In 1922 Alexander Barchenko led an expedition to the Kola Peninsula, in the Russian far north, searching for traces of an ancient polar civilization. In 1997 and 1998 the philosopher Valery Demin led expeditions to Lake Seydozero on the same peninsula and reported large worked stone blocks there, which he took as the remains of Hyperborea.

In 1595 the cartographer Gerardus Mercator drew the North Pole as a ring of four large islands around a central mountain, following a medieval source now lost.

In the chapter on the Aryans, Hyperborea appeared as the base of the Orion Aryans. The two accounts most likely describe the same land at different times. The first Hyperboreans, in Blavatsky's account, were astral, only partly physical, and the land was likely settled later by physical peoples, among them the Orion Aryans. I will describe more of both, the esoteric and the physical, in the sections that follow.

Hyperborea and the Nazis

The word Aryan is used loosely, for different peoples by different writers. This book says in each place which people it means.

The Thule Society and the Nazi Ahnenerbe claimed Hyperborea as the homeland of their master race. I have studied them, and I have spoken with present-day Nazi metaphysicians. Their interest in the subject leaves the truth open to everyone. The facts are neutral: the truth carries no charge, and the charge comes from what a person concludes from it. What they do is pick facts and combine them to show their own superiority, to justify their pursuit of power, and to argue that the Jews should be repressed and discriminated against. The fault lies in joining the theory to racial discrimination. The facts themselves deserve respect, and I study them for the truth.

I am proud to descend from Jewish scientists and rabbis. I oppose discrimination against the Jews and against anyone. Every race deserves equal respect and equal opportunity.

Arrivals from the stars

How old is the northern story, and who began it?

The oldest layer comes from Russian esoteric sources, and it places the beginning among the stars.

Phaeton and the serpents. Valeria Koltsova, in a recorded lucid dream published as From Lemuria to Hyperborea, or the Battles of the Dragons, describes refugees from the destroyed planet Phaeton arriving on Earth. They were humanoid, and they had children with the wise serpents who already lived here. Their descendants settled Lemuria in the Pacific. After a later catastrophe the survivors lived underground, then rebuilt on the northern remnant of that land. Much later, in her account, the Sirians created Hyperborea, with its center at Meru, which is also the world mountain of Hindu and Buddhist cosmology.

A war in the age of the dinosaurs. Georgy Boreev, in his History of the Humanoid Civilizations of Earth, places a war between the Atlanteans and the Hyperboreans about 145 million years ago, when the great dinosaurs ruled the land. His Hyperborea is a series: a northern land destroyed, a new land rising millions of years later, and a new people settling it.

What the Earth shows

How do these accounts sit against the geology of the north?

What the words mean here. The Arctic is the whole region around the North Pole: the Arctic Ocean in the middle, and the northern edges of the continents around it, which are Alaska, northern Canada, Greenland, northern Scandinavia and northern Russia. The white ice we picture there is recent. It formed in the last few million years, and for most of the history of the Earth the Arctic had no ice cap at all.

The pole itself. The North Pole lies in the middle of the Arctic Ocean, over water about four kilometres deep. That ocean has been opening for more than a hundred million years, as the continents around it drifted apart, so at the exact point of the pole geology shows sea through the whole period these sources describe. The lands of the far north lie around it, on the coasts of that ocean.

Those lands were once warm. When the great dinosaurs lived, the northern coasts had forests and no ice, and dinosaur bones are found today in northern Alaska. About 50 million years ago the far north was warmer still: alligators and turtles lived on Ellesmere Island, an island of the Canadian Arctic west of Greenland, which today is a polar desert.

A ridge under the pole. Beneath the Arctic Ocean runs an underwater mountain ridge, the Lomonosov Ridge, from the coast of Siberia straight across the North Pole to the region of Greenland. It is made of continental rock, a strip broken off the edge of Europe and Asia. Drilling into it in 2004 showed that about 50 million years ago the sea over it was warm, with fresh water at its surface covered in floating ferns, and that the top of the ridge lay shallow, possibly above the water as a line of islands.

A buried land northwest of Britain. In 2011 Ross Hartley and colleagues, publishing in Nature Geoscience, used seismic surveys of the sea floor between Scotland and the Faroe Islands to reconstruct a buried land surface with river valleys cut into it. About 56 million years ago this land rose above the sea, stayed above it for about a million years, then sank and was buried under about two kilometres of sediment. The seismic data came from oil exploration, and they map the shape of the buried land.

So in the far north, geology offers habitable land at several periods: forested coasts in the age of the dinosaurs, warm coasts and islands about 56 to 50 million years ago, and ridges and islands that rose and sank. A land that stayed at the pole itself through all that time is absent.

Esoteric numbers and geological numbers. The Russian geologist Alexander Koltypin, who writes on Hyperborea, found that the Theosophical chronology places the ends of geological periods millions of years away from where geology places them, and he proposes keeping the order of events the esoteric sources give while setting their numbers aside. The field is fuzzy, and many of the dates in the sources are confused. What can be done at present is to lay the accounts side by side and look for the trends they share. They share a sequence: an early northern land, settled from the stars, fought over, destroyed, and settled again. The geology shows northern lands appearing and disappearing in the same way.

Setting modern geology beside the esoteric accounts in this way is an exercise few have attempted. My searches, done with the help of AI, reach a part of the channeled material available on the subject, and the picture will sharpen as more of it comes in, together with intuition and new channelings.

Tens of millions of years

What happened in the north after the dinosaurs?

Alexander Koltypin gives one detailed account. He holds a doctorate in geology from Moscow and spent fifteen years on geological expeditions across Kamchatka, Chukotka, the Kuril Islands, Central Asia and the Urals. In 1989 he and colleagues from Moscow University and several institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences founded a society for the study of the Earth's mysteries, which published about thirty popular books, some in print runs of hundreds of thousands. Since 2009 he has run a website called Earth Before the Flood. His method is close to the method of this book: he starts from the geological record and lays over it the ancient legends and the esoteric literature, and his reconstructions are his own, drawn from those three sources. He places the main history of Hyperborea between about 66 and 24 million years ago, beginning when the great dinosaurs died out, about 66 million years ago. In his reconstruction a wide northern land existed about 66 million years ago, was partly flooded about 55 million years ago, and then broke into pieces. He takes the Kola Peninsula and Scandinavia to be its surviving parts. He assumes the pole stood in a different place then, and he discusses the area of the island of Jan Mayen, between Greenland and Norway.

His flooding date falls close to the geology of the previous section: the buried land northwest of Britain sank about 55 million years ago. Koltypin reconstructs the history of Hyperborea on the basis of the geological record, and he reads that buried land as part of Hyperborea.

Koltypin also describes a younger world of stone, between about 15 and 5 million years ago, in Turkey and in Israel: cities cut into rock, underground structures, walls of huge fitted blocks, roads and terraces. In his account they were built, flooded, filled with sediment, lifted again, worn by erosion, and finally reused by much later peoples. He describes several kinds of beings living in that world at the same time, among them humanlike, amphibian and serpent-like beings.

Mainstream archaeology dates such rock-cut sites in Turkey to the last few thousand years and credits them to the peoples who used them in that period. Koltypin's sequence explains why: the last users are the ones whose traces lie on top.

Millions of years: the makers

Who made the people who lived in the north, and when?

Several channeled sources describe a long program of genetic work on Earth, lasting millions of years and carried out by extraterrestrials.

Irina Podzorova is a Russian contactee who reports telepathic contact with extraterrestrials. I have watched many of her channelings on YouTube, and I find her as good as James E. Charles, the channel I work with: I have found many matches between their accounts. She works in Russian and he in English, so she draws nothing from him, and she draws little on the esoteric literature, so what she says comes from her channeling.

In a 2022 article she writes that extraterrestrials began visiting Earth about 5 million years ago, and that they created humans about 3 million years ago from four sources of genes. The largest share, about 45 percent, came from the primates of Earth. The rest came from three extraterrestrial peoples: two humanlike peoples, giving about 35 and 15 percent, and a reptilian people, giving about 5 percent. Vladimir Goldshteyn, who has organized her material into a single account, adds that the makers kept their laboratory on land that now lies under the Mediterranean Sea.

Podzorova also places the destruction of that base, and the flooding of the Atlanteans in the Mediterranean, about 12 KY (thousands of years) ago, in the war described in the section Twelve thousand years ago.

Kryon, known in English through the American channeler Lee Carroll and channeled in Russian by Sergei Kanashevsky, describes in messages of 2011 a five-million-year experiment on Earth, whose final stage lasted about 100 KY (thousands of years) and involved sixteen star donors.

The channeled source Sofoos, in a message of 2017, says the dragon civilization has been connected with the Earth for about 4 million years.

Georgy Boreev brings the story back to the north. About 1.2 million years ago, in his account, three island masses stood in the northern seas, settled again and again by Lemurians and Atlanteans. About a million years ago Martians arrived and mixed with the Tlavatli, in Theosophy the second subrace of the Atlanteans.

These accounts differ on the donors, and on whether a reptilian line was among them: Podzorova includes one, and Kanashevsky rejects any reptilian admixture. They agree on the scale of the work: millions of years, several star peoples, and a human being assembled from more than one line.

Lines kept in reserve

What happened between the making of humans and the later returns?

Three sources describe peoples set aside for a long time and later brought back into life on Earth.

The Horayonians. Kryon, channeled by Sergei Kanashevsky in 2011 and 2012, describes a people he calls the Horayonians, who lived on Earth about 376 to 298 KY (thousands of years) ago. Their bodies were kept in an underground store, and much later they were woken. About 27.5 KY ago they married Lemurians, and their mixed descendants became one of the foundations of the Atlanteans, while the Lemurians continued alongside them.

The Jotuns from Mars. Boris Monosov, a Russian writer on magic and esoteric history, writes in his Great Encyclopedia of the Magician that the Lemurians were native earthlings whose civilization reached travel between the stars and then fell. The Jotuns came from Mars, joined their genes with those of the earthlings, and bred specialized peoples: the dvergs as miners, the alvs as warriors, and the asuras as engineers. From the asuras grew the Atlantean civilization, which grew its houses and its ships as living things. He dates this colonization to over 100 KY ago, and the Atlantean war to about 67 KY ago.

The gene pool in the caves. Ernst Muldashev, a Russian eye surgeon who led expeditions to Tibet and wrote a series of books about them, describes living people of past civilizations kept in caves in a state he calls somati, a deep meditation in which the body is preserved. After catastrophes on the surface they come out and restore knowledge, or start a new population. He reports them from what Tibetan lamas told him.

The three describe one pattern: a line of people kept apart from the living for a long time, and brought back to mix with the people it finds.

The names, and Tolkien

Where do these names come from?

As you have likely noticed, since nearly everyone has seen the films of The Lord of the Rings, some of these names sound familiar. Jotuns, dvergs and alvs are the giants, dwarves and elves of the Norse Eddas, the poems and tales of medieval Iceland, where they are called the jötnar, the dvergar and the álfar. Asuras come from India, where the Vedas and the epics make them the rivals of the gods; one of them, Maya, is the great architect who built palaces and three flying cities.

J. R. R. Tolkien, professor of Old English at Oxford and a scholar of the Norse poems, took his dwarves and elves from the same texts. He took the names of his dwarves, Thorin, Glóin and the others, and even the name Gandalf, from a list of dwarves in the Völuspá, the Norse poem of the making and the end of the world.

Tolkien's own history reaches into our subject. His Númenor is Atlantis: he called it Atalantë, the Downfallen. It was an island kingdom of long-lived men that grew proud, and when its king, turned by Sauron, made war on the gods, the island sank under a great wave. The survivors sailed east and founded kingdoms in Middle-earth. Tolkien wrote that he had a recurring dream of a great wave rising over green fields, which he called his Atlantis complex. His world is also full of bred peoples: the dwarves were made separately by one of the creating powers, the orcs, in one of his accounts, were bred from captured elves, and the Uruk-hai were bred by crossing orcs with men.

I read Tolkien as one more divinatory source, and a deeply respected one. He knew the old texts better than anyone of his time, he dreamed of the drowning, and he wrote into his story a memory of real peoples bred for a purpose, and of an island that sank.

Orion on Earth

What do the channeled sources say about Orion on Earth, and about the north?

They speak of Orion as a real presence on this planet. Horus, channeled by James E. Charles in 2019, said England and Peru were more Orion areas, the places where stargates were built, and that the Orions never left Earth: some still live in the third dimension, looking human, in our cities. A being from the Orion Belt, channeled by James E. Charles in 2025, said the Orion stargate connects to all the stargates on Earth.

The same sources join the Pleiadians, Orion and Earth in one route. Yira, a Pleiadian of Erra channeled by James E. Charles in 2016, confirmed that part of her civilization came from Orion by way of Earth to the Pleiades, which is the three-point route of the Aryan chapter. Saraswati, channeled by James E. Charles in 2019, said the Nordics came mostly from the Pleiades, some having migrated to Orion, and described them as charming and hostile, ready to eliminate whoever stood in their way.

The north appears once, from Osiris, channeled by James E. Charles in 2019. Speaking of about 20 KY (thousands of years) ago, still the time of Atlantis, he placed reptilians much farther north, and described the lands of Russia as a battleground where aliens hiding on Earth fought, with battles reaching down into India.

The identification of Hyperborea as an Orion colony rests on the Aryan line: Orion culture, a polar homeland in the Vedas, and a people moving between Earth, Orion and the Pleiades.

Returns

Did the peoples who left the north come back?

We looked through the channeled and esoteric material for accounts of peoples who left the Earth, or left the physical world, and later returned. We found two, and then we looked at the genomes of the far north from the same time.

Emilenia. Liliya Timofeeva, a Russian channeler, published an account titled Secrets of the Two Poles in the journal World Channeling in 2018. She describes two Hyperboreas: an early one, and a much later one in the Arctic. The later Hyperborea received the genetic programs of sixty-four civilizations and used them to change the native races of the Earth. Part of its people then left the physical world. About 32 KY (thousands of years) ago they returned, in the far north of Eurasia, as a civilization she calls Emilenia. They looked close to humans, and they had children with them. She places their center on the Taz Peninsula, in western Siberia, on the coast of the Arctic Ocean.

Earthlings among the stars. Georgy Boreev, in his History of the Humanoid Civilizations of Earth, writes that many humanlike lines lived on Earth before present humanity, and that some of them left the planet. Groups that later settled near the Pleiades and near the star Zeta Reticuli descend, in his account, from that earthly past. When they appear on Earth now, they are coming back.

The genomes of the far north. In 2019 Martin Sikora, Eske Willerslev and colleagues published the genomes of two boys, read from milk teeth found at a site on the Yana River in northern Siberia, far inside the Arctic Circle, about 32 KY old. The boys were people of our own species. They belonged to a population unknown until then, which the authors named the Ancient North Siberians. Its line had separated from the ancestors of the peoples of western Eurasia about 38 KY ago, and it later passed part of its ancestry to later Siberians and, through them, to the first peoples of the Americas.

The two accounts describe the same movement: a people of the Earth leaving, living apart for a long time, returning, and mixing with the people it finds here. And the date Timofeeva gives for the return to the far north of Eurasia, about 32 KY ago, is also the date of the oldest people yet sequenced from the Siberian Arctic.

The chapter on the Aryans described a view, common across the esoteric literature, of one people living between the Earth, Orion and the Pleiades; the returns Timofeeva and Boreev describe would be earlier movements of the same kind. And the returned Hyperboreans would likely have been among the peoples living in the north when the great cold came, about 20 KY later.

Leaving the pole

How did the Aryans leave the north?

Tilak placed their departure from the pole about 10 KY (thousands of years) ago, and Steiner placed their arrival in India about 9 KY ago, working from entirely different sources. I think the movements out of the north were continuous and frequent, across a very long time. Some were migrations, and more often they were conquests. The steppe wave of about 5 KY ago was one of the latest.

Tilak had predecessors and successors. In the eighteenth century the French astronomer Jean Sylvain Bailly argued that civilization began in the far north. In the 1880s William Warren, the first president of Boston University, published Paradise Found, the Cradle of the Human Race at the North Pole, and Tilak credited him. In 1963 John G. Bennett published The Hyperborean Origin of the Indo-European Culture. In Russia the ethnographer Svetlana Zharnikova placed the Aryan homeland around the White Sea, working from place names and folk ornament.

The Greeks treated the Hyperboreans as real people. Herodotus wrote that Hyperborean maidens who had come to the island of Delos were buried there. I would like to see their remains sequenced.

The Hyperborean empire

What happened after the peoples left the pole?

One channeled source describes an empire built in Europe after the catastrophe, and its account reaches places the earlier chapters of this volume have already visited.

Kryon's Hyperborea. Kryon, known in English through the American channeler Lee Carroll and channeled in Russian by Sergei Kanashevsky of Novokuznetsk, a city in southern Siberia, describes in a message published in 2011 an empire he calls Hyperborea, founded about 8 KY (thousands of years) ago by descendants of Atlanteans who had survived a cataclysm in North Africa. They conquered Europe and ruled from its western coast to the Ural Mountains, the range that runs north to south across Russia and divides Europe from Asia. Their capital, Borea, stood where the Russian republic of Tatarstan lies today, on the Volga River, about 800 kilometres east of Moscow. They had flying craft driven by crystals, radio towers, and hydroelectric and solar power. The empire grew to seven regions: Europe, Egypt with Libya, India with Pakistan, Arabia, China with Mongolia, Sumer, which is the land of the first cities in the south of present Iraq, and Siberia. Its longest and bloodiest war was fought against India, which Kryon calls one of the oldest colonies of Lemuria, and he says echoes of that war survive in the ancient Indian epics. The empire lasted about a thousand years and ended in war. Kryon, channeled by Kanashevsky, adds that the Atlanteans carried an overgrown masculine principle, aggression and violence. After the empire fell, the Aryans built a city of light in the southern Urals, the southern end of that range, near the present border of Russia and Kazakhstan.

Now let us move from the channeling of Kryon by Kanashevsky to genetic archaeology, which is archaeology strengthened by population genetics, the reading of ancient genomes from bones, and check the channeled account against what genetic archaeology has found in the same places. Its record runs across about four thousand years, so we follow it in order.

The Volga, about 8 KY ago. Kryon, channeled by Kanashevsky, places his capital on the Volga River, in Tatarstan. Genetic archaeology has worked a few hundred kilometres downriver, near the city of Samara, where archaeologists found the graves of hunters and fishers who lived about 8 to 7 KY ago, and geneticists have read their genomes. Their line is one of the two main ancestors of the Yamnaya; the other came from the peoples of the Caucasus.

The steppe, about 5 KY ago. The Yamnaya were herders of the grasslands north of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. Genetic archaeology follows them west into Europe about 5 KY ago, where farmers had arrived thousands of years earlier, and shows them mixing with those farmers. The chapter on the steppe told that story.

The southern Urals, about 4 KY ago. A branch of that mixed people turned back east. At the southern end of the Urals the mountains end and the steppe begins, the open grassland that stretches east across Kazakhstan, the large country south of Russia between the Caspian Sea and China. There archaeologists have found the towns of a people called the Sintashta, built about 4 KY ago. The towns were fortified, with their houses set in rings inside the walls, and the best known of them, Arkaim, was found in 1987. The Sintashta herded cattle, sheep and horses, and they worked metal: almost every house had a furnace for smelting copper. Their graves hold the oldest known chariots with spoked wheels. Their genomes carry both lines, the steppe herders and the farmers of Europe.

Arkaim. Archaeology gives the town in detail. It was a fortress about 170 metres across, with an outer ditch and two ring-shaped walls, one inside the other, and 66 dwellings built against them, all laid out to a single plan. Up to two thousand people lived there, metalworkers and cattle herders. It was one of more than twenty such fortified towns on this stretch of steppe, which Russian archaeologists call the Country of Towns.

Arkaim was nearly lost. In 1987 the land around it was being prepared for a reservoir and was due to be flooded the next spring. On 20 June that year two local schoolboys helping the archaeologists, Aleksandr Voronkov and Aleksandr Ezril, told them about unusual embankments they had found in the steppe, and that evening the archaeologist Gennady Zdanovich announced the discovery. The archaeologists of the Urals, supported by Boris Piotrovsky, the director of the Hermitage museum in Leningrad, won a decision to save the site, and in 1991 it became a historical and cultural reserve. Today it draws visitors who tie ribbons on its trees and stones and make wishes there, and pilgrims who come to meditate in the steppe around it.

Their towns lasted two or three centuries. Then the people spread out, east across Kazakhstan and south, and their descendants reached India and brought with them Sanskrit, the language of the Vedas, whose speakers called themselves Arya. These are the Aryans in the sense linguists and geneticists use: the people who carried the Aryan languages into India.

India. Population genetics finds two ancestries in every people of India, as the chapter on India showed. The older one leads to the Andaman Islanders, in the Bay of Bengal between India and Burma, and this book, following Blavatsky, calls it Lemurian. The newer one came from the steppe, with the descendants of the Sintashta. Earlier in this volume we also saw that the ancestry arriving from the steppe came mostly through men, who replaced the male lines of the peoples they conquered.

Their neighbours. Written history, from the same centuries, gives the Sintashta their neighbours. When they built their towns, Egypt was in its Middle Kingdom, Babylon was rising under Hammurabi, the cities of the Indus valley in Pakistan were fading, and in China the first dynasty was forming. Eurasia was lightly but widely settled, and the Sintashta were one people among many.

So genetic archaeology shows one line, continuing and mixing, from the Volga about 8 KY ago, through the Yamnaya, to the Sintashta, and on into India. At every step it took in other peoples: the peoples of the Caucasus, the farmers of Europe, the older population of India.

Kryon, channeled by Kanashevsky, describes an empire founded by descendants of Atlanteans, with its capital on the Volga, about 8 KY ago; a long war of conquest against India, which he calls a colony of Lemuria; a people carrying an overgrown masculine aggression; and a city of light built by the Aryans in the southern Urals. Genetic archaeology finds, in the same places, a line that begins on the Volga at that date; a warrior people with chariots and metal in the southern Urals; a conquest of India that joined a newer ancestry to an older, Lemurian one; and conquerors who were mostly men. The two may describe one history.

I think Arkaim was essentially a factory. A furnace in almost every house, one plan for the whole town, and walls around all of it make it a self-contained works, with its people inside it, closed and protected from armies. It produced metal and weapons, and so it had to deal with the armies that needed them, and that trade made its people prosperous. To keep production going through the night, it would have run by artificial light, and a works lit up every night on the dark steppe may be why it was remembered as a city of light.

Traces on the ground

What did the northern peoples leave behind that can still be seen?

If Hyperborea and the peoples around it were real, the lands they held should still carry stones they worked. We looked for such stones in the lands of esoteric Hyperborea and its neighbours, and for what the channeled sources say about them. Three kinds of place came up.

The seids of the north. In the far north of Europe, across Lapland, Karelia and the Kola Peninsula, which is the Russian land on the Barents Sea east of Norway and Finland, stand the seids: large boulders, some weighing many tonnes, set on top of three or more small stones. The Sami, the reindeer herders of that region, treated them as sacred, and ethnographers have recorded their offerings at them. Near Lake Seydozero, in the middle of the Kola Peninsula, the expeditions of Alexander Barchenko in 1922 and of Valery Demin in 1997 and 1998, described in the first section of this chapter, searched for the remains of Hyperborea, and Demin reported blocks with worked faces and what he took to be a stairway and an observatory.

The dolmens of the Caucasus. The Caucasus is the mountain range between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, which divides Russia from Georgia and Azerbaijan. On its western slopes, above the Black Sea coast of Russia, stand about three thousand dolmens: chambers built of huge stone slabs, many with a single round opening in the front slab about forty centimetres across, small enough that an adult passes through only with difficulty. Mainstream archaeology dates them to about 5 to 4 KY (thousands of years) ago, from the pottery and bones found inside them. Stone itself carries no date, so those finds date the people who last used the dolmens, and the builders may be far older. The channeled source Sofoos, in a message about the Caucasus in 2014, describes the dolmens as traces left by the civilizations of Hyperborea, which kept their knowledge in stable fields fixed in the crystal lattices of the stone.

Cities taken for caves. Seth, the being channeled by Jane Roberts, said in sessions of 1970 that civilizations long before Atlantis built cities underground with high technology and then abandoned them, and that much later people who used only stone tools lived in their entrances and tunnels, which archaeology now reads as cave dwellings.

The dolmens of the Caucasus, in the far south of Russia above the Black Sea, raise a question this section leaves open. The Atlanteans of the esoteric sources were tall, and the dolmens have doorways a child passes easily. The peoples living near them give contradictory answers: the Adyghe, the Circassian people of that region, call them the houses of a race of dwarfs, and the Russian Cossacks who settled there later called them the huts of the giant heroes. Local names are a weak guide, since the peoples living there now arrived long after the builders. The channeled sources speak of several bred peoples living side by side, tall and small, as section 5.5 described, and which of them built the dolmens is unknown.

The seids and the worked stones of the Kola Peninsula, in the far north of Russia on the Barents Sea, stand on the land of esoteric Hyperborea. And Seth's cities taken for caves fit what section 4 described: the last users of a place are the ones whose traces lie on top.
